The regular expression "(?i)\btom\b" triggers on the word "Automatically" even though the "tom" in "Automatically" is in the middle of the word. I am using Propane 1.3.1 (1.3.1.b3c2e31) on Mac OS X 10.8.5. Please advise.

    Hi Tom,

When Propane shows your name in the "Who's Here?" sidebar, is it showing a first and last name or is it just "Tom"?

And if it's just Tom, do you also have the "Alert me of messages containing my name" checkbox set in preferences/notifications/message_alerts?

    Regards,

"Who's Here?" shows my first and last names.

The "Alert me of messages containing my name" checkbox (and the subsidiary
checkboxes under it) are all set.

    Hey,

That's very strange. I just tried it out here and it behaves as expected

Is it happening in all rooms or just one room in particular?

The reason I ask is that there are per-room notifications that can override the ones you define in general preferences (on the Room menu, Edit Room Notification Settings). It's possible that you have a more liberal regex defined in the per-room settings.

That was it. The room has room-specific regex's with just my name and no \b
    marker.

Thanks for letting me know the outcome.

I'll have to spend some time figuring out what changes in the UI will make it easier to determine the settings that are in-play.
