Images won't upload to chat room. I tried drag&drop and through the Upload menu item.

    Hi David,

I just tried in my own room and it worked fine (drag and drop).

First thing to try is if it works in Safari - if it doesn't then I'd guess you've hit your quota limit for uploads...

If it does work in Safari, can you check and see if there are any messages from Propane in there (there's always a startup complaint about plist formats that you can ignore).

If there are messages, paste them back here and I'll try to track down the issue.

    Sorry for the troubles, Trev

Trevor-thanks for getting back to me.

Here's the message I see the console log when I try to upload an image:

    1/8/10 3:30:42 PM Propane[12215]
    > returned 507

it looks like a 507 response is "insufficient storage" - have you tried it out in a regular web browser like Safari?

    Hi again David,

sorry for pushing the investigation back onto you, I'm nowhere near my file quota on my paid Campfire account so I didn't have an easy way to test.

I just used a free account as a test and indeed, once you've exceeded your file-upload quota, you'll get 507 responses back on upload.

If you visit your campfire site in a browser you'll see "over your upload limit" warnings in the chat and on the "Files, Transcripts and Search" tab.

I was about to say "you can either upgrade your account or delete old files you don't need" but after trying to delete unwanted files it still shows me as over my quota...

I need to talk to 37signals about that as I'm not sure if it's intentional or a bug.

I've also created a todo item to respond to a 507 status and provide real feedback in Propane rather than confuse the heck out of people like it currently does.

Sorry about this, Propane should have been smarter about it.

    Regards, Trev

it turns out that deleting files does adjust your quota, it just takes a few minutes for the quota to be adjusted.

If you hover over a filename in the transcript viewer (while in a chat using Propane, hitting command-t will open it) to expose a trashcan icon that you click for deletion.

Oh and thanks for the positive feedback - it's always nice to hear :-)

    Regards, Trev
