I am seeing a few different usecases here:

  1. I want to explicitly leave a room - can do this now via cmd-shift-L
  2. I want prevent accidental leaving of room when I hit cmd-w or cmd-q
  3. I want to send a leave signal when I close a room tab or quit Propane
  4. I want to send a leave signal when I put my computer to sleep

A proposal:

Some new preferences:
1. [x] Prompt me to confirm before closing a room
2. [x] Prompt me to confirm before quitting Propane
3. [x] Automatically leave rooms when the computer goes to sleep
4. [x] Automatically rejoin rooms when my computer wakes from sleep

3 and 4 (should) be relatively self explanatory.

For 1, the confirmation could look like this:

You are closing room [Room Name]. Would you like to tell Campfire that you're leaving the room?

(Cancel) (Close without Leaving) (Close and Leave)*

For 2, the confirmation could look like this:

You are quitting Propane, but you are still connected to N rooms. Would you like to tell Campfire that you're leaving these rooms?

(Cancel) (Quit without Leaving) (Quit and Leave)*

Thoughts?

My group was thinking of buying into Propane, but we have what seems to be an unusual usecase. We're not all in the same room, so we're using it (partly) to track who's around. We've got it set to autoopen when people come to work (via MarcoPolo), but then in what should be the easy case, when we quit to leave, we don't get logged out.

Anyway before we buy in we were wondering, what's the ETA was likely to be on this functionality? Thanks!
